Dragon Champions: Patch Notes 1.3.43

Hello champions!

Here are the patch notes for the update 1.3.43 that is coming later this week. It will include the long-awaited Panda faction rework, and lots of nifty features, including Runes Recommendations and Runes Auto Assign as well as important improvements.

Here is a full list of what’s new in this week’s update:

General:

  • Added Runes Recommendations for various player levels. Now it should be much easy to understand how to build Runes for different heroes and be competitive

  • Added Runes Auto Assign tools for fast assign best possible recommended runes

  • Added the remaining Personal Hero Challenges (already in the game)

  • Improved Battlegrounds matchmaking (already in the game)

  • Added a Guild activity parameter - depending on how active your guild is, this will help you attract more new people, and they will more likely be added to your guild instead of ending up in an abandoned one

  • Reworked a lot of Panda heroes (see below for detailed description)

  • Season of Fireworks starts December 1st

  • New Hero - Uncle Ho (Order, Panda, Ranger) - available from Season of Fireworks and Uncle Ho Chest 

  • Added Radash Herostones to Tournament Shop

  • Added Garret Herostones to Battlegrounds Shop

  • Updated Chests scene - now it looks like a real treasury! 

  • Buff, Hardorc, Dieselrog hero models got a little makeover

  • Team selection screen improvement

  • You can now see Tournament medals on top of the Tournaments screen

  • Various fixes and UI improvements

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixes Thalanne’s leadership ability

  • Fixed additional points for the incomplete team in the Battlegrounds  

🐼Balance changes - Pandas Rework

We are happy to present the long-awaited Pandas rework! Some heroes got a little tweaks and rebalance, while others have been properly reworked. Also, Pandas have received a new buff - Self Control. 

When this buff is active, a hero is immune to Daze, Stun, and turn meter reduction (similar to how Daze prevents from getting turn meter bonuses, but the other way around). Ember has also received a unique buff, Inner Fire that grants her +5% Potency for each stack. 

We would also like to let you know that we plan to add some more Panda changes, so please stay tuned to more tweaks in future, for example, for Lake’s leadership ability.

Kin Li

Blade of Fury (Basic Ability)

Deals 170% of Physical Damage to an enemy. If Kin Li has more Health than the target, this attack deals 250% of Physical Damage instead (previously: This attack deals 50% more Crit Damage. If the target has full Health, this attack is guaranteed to land a critical hit)

Jade Wave (2nd Ability, cooldown 1/3)

Deals 300% of Physical Damage to an enemy. A 50% chance to apply a Armor Increase to 3 allies for 1 turn (previously had a 50% chance to apply a Tenacity Increase to 3 allies for 1 turn instead)

Five-on-One (3d Ability, cooldown 3/3): 

Removes 2 debuffs. Gains Taunt and a Armor Increase for 2 turns. Recovers 25% Health. If Kin Li is the last remaining fighter, he gains Damage Increase and Crit Chance Increase for 2 turns and Dodge Increase for 3 turns (previously: Gains Taunt and a Dodge Increase for 2 turns. Removes 2 debuffs. Recovers 25% Health)

Lord of the Great Houses (Leadership Ability):

All allied pandas gain 30% of their maximum Health. Pandas recover 5% of Health for each critical hit dealt and each buff applied. Panda with full Health recovers 5% of turn meter instead (previously: All allied pandas gain 30% of their maximum Health. Pandas recover 5% Health for each critical hit dealt and each buff applied)

Patriarch Qi (Please mind that the title and the icon for some abilities has been changed to suit them better)

Dragon Strike (Basic Ability): 

Deals 220% of Magic Damage to an enemy. Kin Li and a random ally gain Shield equal to 25% of the damage dealt (previously: A 50% chance for Kin Li and a random ally to gain a shield equal to 50% of the damage dealt)

Meditation (3d Ability, cooldown 4/4):

Gains a Tenacity Increase and applies it to 4 allies for 2 turns. Allies from the Order gain Tenacity Increase and Self Control for 2 turns instead (previously: Applies an Armor Increase to all allies for 2 turns)

Fortitude (previously known as Crane Technique, Passive Ability):

When applying a shield, Patriarch Qi heals an ally by 25% of the shield. (previously: When applying a shield, Patriarch Qi has a 40% chance to heal an ally by 30% of the shield)

Shao Lin

Triple Serving (2nd Ability, cooldown 3/3):

Shao Lin and 4 allies recover 30% of their turn meter and gain Regeneration 2 turns. Shao Lin gains 1 more stack of Regeneration and Self Control for 2 turns (previously: Attacks the enemy 3 times. Each attack deals 140% of Physical Damage)

Well-Fed Master (Passive Ability):

Shao Lin deals 1% more damage for every 4% of his Health and additional 10% if he has full Health (previously: Increases Accuracy by 15% and an additional 5% for each living panda in the party)

Master Duo (Please mind that the title and the icon for some abilities has been changed to suit them better)

Slashing Blow (Basic Ability):

Deals 250% of Physical Damage to an enemy. If the target is afflicted by Slow, their turn meter is reduced by 30%. A 50% chance to inflict Slow for 2 turns (previously: A 50% chance to inflict Slow for 2 turns. If target is afflicted by Slow, their turn meter is reduced by 30%)

Path of the Tiger (2nd Ability, cooldown 2/3, previously 3/3**):**

Deals 220% of Physical Damage to all enemies. If all enemies receive damage, gains Damage Increase for 2 turns (previously: Master Duo and 3 allies recover 30% of their turn meter and gain Regeneration and an Armor Increase for 2 turns. Master Duo gains 1 more stack of Regeneration)

Martial Knowledge (3d Ability, cooldown 3/3, previously 3/4**):**

Gains Crit Chance Increase, Crit Damage Increase and Counterattack for 2 turns. Recovers 35% of Health and 50% of turn meter (previously: Master Duo assumes a Battle Stance, gains 50% of his turn meter and recovers 35% of his Health. While in a Battle Stance, Master Duo gains 30% Crit Chance and 30% Crit Damage. This effect cannot be prevented or removed. Using the ability again will cancel the Battle Stance. Master Duo gains Counterattack for 2 turns)

Second Sight (Passive Ability):

Master Duo is immune to Blindness. Master Duo can target and counterattack Invisible enemies. Increases Accuracy by 15% and an additional 5% for each living panda in the party (previously: Master Duo is immune to Blindness. If Master Duo is the last remaining fighter, he takes 50% less damage from all sources)

Rin the Unseen: 

Shadow House Technique (Passive Ability):

Rin the Unseen has 40% chance to gain Invisibility at the end of her turn. Each living allied panda defender or panda warrior increases this chance by 20%. Invisible Rin the Unseen increases Physical Damage by 35% (previously: Increases Physical Damage by 15% and an additional 3% for each living panda in the party)

Ember

Gets a new unique buff - Inner Fire. See Passive ability for description.

Fire Ball (Basic Ability):

Deals 250% of Magic Damage to an enemy. Removes 1 Inner Fire stack from Ember and inflicts Burning for 2 turns for each Inner Fire stack removed (previously: Deals 250% of Magic Damage to an enemy. A Burned target will be dealt 300% of Magic Damage instead)

Meteor (2nd Ability, cooldown 2/3):

Deals 300% of Magic Damage to an enemy. Stuns the target for 1 turn. Removes 3 Inner Fire stacks from Ember and deals extra 50% of Magic Damage and removes 1 buff for each Inner Fire stack removed (previously: Deals 400% of Magic Damage to an enemy. Stuns the target for 1 turn)

Spirit of Zhu Niao (3d Ability, cooldown 3/5): 

Deals 280% of Magic Damage to all enemies. Inflicts Burning for 2 turns to all enemies without Burning. Removes 9 Inner Fire stacks from Ember and deals extra 25% of Magic Damage for each Inner Fire stack removed (previously: Deals 250% of Magic Damage to all enemies. A 70% chance to inflict Burning for 2 turns. A 30% chance to remove all buffs from enemies)

Heart of Flame (Passive Ability):

Gains 1 Inner Fire stack for 3 turns at the end of her turn. A 20% chance to gain 1 additional stack for each living ally panda. For any Burning removed from enemy or remained on killed enemy Ember gains 1 Inner Fire for 3 turns. Each stack of Inner Fire increases Potency by 5% (previously: For each stack of Burning on enemies, Ember recovers 6% of her Health at the start of the turn)

Lake

Refreshing Stream (2nd Ability, cooldown 1/3):

Deals 200% of Magic Damage to all enemies. Removes all Burning stacks from them. Deals an extra 40% Magic Damage and removes 1 buff for each Burning stack removed from that enemy (previously: Removes all Burning stacks from them. Deals an extra 50% Magic Damage for each Burning stack removed from that enemy. A 50% chance to inflict Potency Decrease for 2 turns)

Swift Water (Passive Ability):

IncreasesTenacity by 25% and an additional 5% for each living panda in the party. If Ember is on the battlefield, she receives the same buff (previously: If Lake doesn't take damage for a turn, he gains Haste for 1 turn)

Fao 

Grace (3d Ability, cooldown 4/4):

Gains a Dodge Increase and applies it to 4 allies for 2 turns. Gains Cheat Death for 2 turns (previously: Gains a Dodge Increase and applies it to all allies for 2 turns)

Heated Arrows (Passive Ability):

Increases Physical Damage by 30%. Critical hits inflict Burning for 1 turn if there is living allied panda mage (previously: Increases Physical Damage by 30% and an additional 5% for each living panda in the party)

New Hero:

Uncle Ho - Order, Panda, Ranger

Firecracker (1st ability): 

Deals 250% of Physical Damage to an enemy. Decreases Dazed or Burning target's turn meter by 20%

You Better Watch Out (2nd ability cooldown 2/3): 

Deals 420% of Physical Damage to an enemy. This attack cannot be dodged. Half of the damage from this attack penetrates their shield. Hilda gains shield equal to 25% of the damage dealt

Festive Fireworks (3d ability cooldown 3/3): 

Inflicts Accuracy Decrease on all enemies for 2 turns. Applies Crit Damage Increase to all allies for 2 turns. Applies Crit Chance Increase to all allied pandas for 2 turns. Restores 1 turn to each Hilda's ability 

Alchemy Secrets (Passive ability): 

A 60% chance to inflict Daze or Burning on 3 random enemies for 2 turns after using skill
